The local newspaper and one local television station have been providing extensive coverage of the on-going homeless crisis. As to be expected, a "sweep" is planned for the Kaka'ako homeless encampment early next month. There are over 300 people "squatting" there. Where will they go?

In the meantime, the so-called "homeless czar," a State government bureaucrat, has been terminated. A new multi-government "committee" has now been established to tackle the homeless crisis. Once again, without any viable solutions, the authorities have resorted to "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic." If the situation wasn't so pathetic, it would be funny.

Coincidentally, the generous inventories of beat-up minivans has suddenly dwindled down to nothing. Could the homeless be purchasing the minivans for use as homeless motorhomes given the increasing draconian measures being taken against them? You be the judge.

As I edge closer to homelessness, there is increasing uncertainty about what exactly is going on out on the streets. From what I can ascertain, the authorities are likely to panic and engage in foolish behavior. Violence could erupt at any time as a result of poor decisions.

If ever we need the hotties of Summer, now is that time. Thank goodness for the hotties of Summer.

On a side note, the command center of doom (read: cheap "smartphone") is looking pretty spiffy, what with all of the "bells and whistles" that I have enabled. Too bad that it is "on its last leg" because of abuse doled out as punishment. Sheesh!
