Assimilation

On Wednesday, I made the horrific trek by bus to the Best Buy® store in Pearl City, the only location that had the Motorola® Moto G (3rd generation) in stock. For $180 (not on sale), I acquired the unlocked version in the all-black color. I also procured a $5 SIM card for H2O Wireless® "pay and go" service. For me, that's a lot of money. However, the majority of other people, from my observations, own "smartphones" costing $650 or more. My new "smartphone" would be only "chump change" to them.

Typical Unlocked Hottie
Why didn't I decide to switch to an unlocked "smartphone" four months ago when I officially mummified the search for rental housing? The carrier monthly service charge for the last four months would have easily covered over half the cost of the new "smartphone." Well, I should mention that the new Moto G was just introduced about a week ago.

Typical "Field Trip" Hottie
Anyway, the "field trip" on the bus proved somewhat enlightening. I was able to view some of the construction work for the ridiculous light rail project. I also saw the homeless encampment at the Kapalama canal. And, to refresh my memory, I was able to peruse the unsupervised paid parking lot across from A'ala Park again, the place where my homeless buddy and I will most likely end up in our homeless motorhomes (read: beat-up minivans).

Typical "Smartphone" Hottie
By the way, the new "smartphone" is very nice. Very little "bloatware." The old cheap "smartphone" has a lot of "bloatware." Sometimes one of the useless installed "apps" randomly downloads and installs a bunch of even more useless "apps." Very annoying. Well, what was I expecting for $50? The new "smartphone," abeit not cheap, does not have that problem. Thank Molech!

Typical Summer Hottie
The cheap "smartphone" will not be decommissioned. It will continue on as a small tablet computer, that is until it stops functioning. Let's just move on to the hotties of Summer now, shall we?

  1. A short pome in honor of The Hotties....

    The hotties, the hotties,
    the hotties of summer,
if we don't get our hotties
    it really is a bummer.

It doesen't matter if the sausage
    is Vienna or Portagee
Without our hotties, that old pork
ain't good for nothing but taking a pee.

    The hotties, the hotties,
    the hotties of summer,
    We gotta get our hotties
or it really is a bummer.

    The Iphone is a wonder,
    we go everywhere with it,
    But without the Selfie feature
it wouldn't be worth a shit

    Because the hotties, the hotties,
    use it every day,
    to record their yummy hooters,
so the Iphone's here to stay.

    The hotties, the hotties,
    the hotties of summer,
    looking at the hotties,
is almost as good as a hummer.

    Almost, but not quite.

  2. About those unwanted apps updating on their own... settings> application manager> choose one of those pre-installed apps, say google play newsstand> uncheck "show notifications" and of course uninstall updates, clear data, clear cache, etc... and that should get it to SHUT UP... but you knew all this already, right? Also, have you looked into "rooting" your device? Then you could uninstall anything you wanted, no problem...
