Crunch

According to local news sources, there is a severe housing crunch on the island. So much so that median home and condo prices have skyrocketed. At least 66,000 new single-family dwellings would be required to quell the crisis. Of course, rising home prices means increased property taxes and correspondingly high rental rates.
  • My homeless buddy should be in Vietnam by now. Prior to his departure, he said that he may return earlier than his planned six-month stay. Why? Only street homelessness awaits him when he returns.
  • Maka has decided to mummify the homeless motorhome plan. He discovered that even ten-years-old minivans were carrying $10,000+ price tags. So, he is once again looking for cheap housing.
  • Homeless decision? Pending, given the new housing data. Tentatively, I have given myself a budget of $10,000 for future rent. After that arbitrary sum is depleted, I will Maka and my homeless buddy on the streets.
In the meantime, life goes on for the ol' lavahead. Same routine. Same agenda. Same itinerary. Same ol' shit.
